Some of us decided to have a chat with Mars and we shared our thoughts. We have decided for a peaceful route for we no longer wish to continue with the quarrels. So in order to try and help her along I will supply a link to her contact information in a journal she's created.

Okay...this is a journal I really never thought(or really wanted to) create but here it goes.

Oh and I know that she has quite a few minions(or lucky customers as I call them) from what I heard that go after her disgruntled customers that speak out. I am gonna say this. I was not one of those "lil meanies" that tried to set her up or whatever tall tales that are spinned. I was genuinely a loyal customer that had faith in her. She did an okay job on Blimp(his face is cute but I had to redo his body) and she sent him back in a timely manner. That was a few years ago. But THIS cannot be hidden.

I had so much faith in her. So much that I sent her a HYENA to be rugged because I figured she would have enjoyed that. A great portfolio piece! Well??? Read on!

I'm giving big negatives for nakomii/it'sprobablymars/vita nova taxidermy, (Mars Hernandez right now )Marissa Hernandez, whatever name she goes by.

I JUST received my two mounts from her today. My hyena Asha and my coyote Poof. *sigh* They smelled of smoke. 



I had sent off my hyena to be rugged by her almost THREE YEARS AGO.. That's right. Almost three years. And nothing to show for it. So much for a rug. But please read on.

Here are some of my back-and-forths with her about status and WIP's. I initially contacted her in July 2013 about having her rugged. As you can see, the same things being told.

Now I asked for her to return my things AS IS because I was tired of waiting for NOTHING to be done. I told her to return them to me immediately in late april of this year. I told her I'm not asking for a refund and that I would even pay the shipping. I just want my things back. My hyena was a grail of mine and I no longer trusted her in her care. I didn't bother to demand refunds because of the troubles I have heard of from her previous disgruntled customers having to jump through hoops to get something. I didn't care about that. I was too tired of this. I JUST WANTED THEM BACK. So no, she didn't deny or fight me on refunds because I told her I didn't want any. 

 She told me was I sure I wanted them back unfinished? She would have my hyena mounted with a few weeks!!! UMMM YOU HAD NEARLY THREE YEARS TO DO THAT. And about a year and half on the coyote! It's like a damned twilight zone episode! I told her no, send them back as is, mounted or not, finished or not. Because we've been through this for so long and I knew at this point nothing was going to be done. 

She did finally send them three weeks later after asking a few times if she sent them. She paid the shipping. She told me she did unmount the hyena and clean her out(and told me she'd still have some clay on her) despite me telling her I just wanted them as is. She told me last year(or rather her previous coworker or whoever it is that helped her out with her taxi projects in that time frame, Innaturesimage I believe) on an status update that Asha was being rehydrated and in the process of being remounted.....

While I asked for returning as-is she did ask me if I was SURE that I wanted them back like this and whatnot. Basically a clear statement of I suppose to cover her ass. Look I have no problem telling the truth on my end. It all leans in my favor anyways.

Why? Because you had nearly THREE YEARS to mount her! There is no excuse! It doesn't matter if she is mounted or not! You had so much time! No excuses! I was way too tolerant and kind! I was foolish!! So much for being a good and patient customer!! 

And I'm not the only one out there. There has been some people that had come forth to me and a few others that they had been also waiting years on mounts!!! NO EXCUSE.. If you take a gander at her taxidermy page on facebook you can see how many comments from customers asking on updates, to answer their pm's and where their shit is and other stuff! Heck even somebody asking if they should remove the STAPLES from their mount's ears because it scratches them! I'm guessing they don't realize that those shouldn't be on there. 



This lil tidbit made my blood boil. Another way to cover her ass. NO your waitlist shouldn't be that long to mount people's softmounts. NO EXCUSE. People..do not believe this. 1 year is one thing, maybe a year and half.. BUT 2-3 YEARS? For soft-mounts???? I've had a few friends get attacked for not finishing customer mounts within a FEW MONTHS.. Spoiled brats. TRY THREE YEARS. And the thing is while her waiting list may be that long. She has NO problem with mounting personal mounts or mounts for her loved ones within a matter of just a few months of getting the pelts... Or when she's pushing out PREMADES. So much for a priority list! (Like she told me and others that we were on since we've been waiting awhile, was told this a good year or so ago) Or too busy spending hours on personal fursuit items while you could be spending that on people who have been waiting years for their stuff. I'm not saying you can NOT spend any time on personal stuffs but SERIOUSLY. 




I really don't understand her. She says her business is important to her. Obliviously not enough. I mean.. You received a bloody hyena for a project. How many get to handle hyenas? Some would kill to have the chance to mount one. It was a potential portfolio piece. A good way of showing people what you are capable of. If you weren't capable of mounting my hyena you should have just been honest. But no. Just sit on it for awhile and dismount it before sending it out. Well sorry. I overestimated you. 

Now onto my coyote, Poof. 

I did receive also a few WIP photos of him last year. But he was too be fixed as his ears and eyes were off as I was told.

There.. as you can see. He has a whole number of issues that many of her other disgruntled customer's mounts have suffered from. 

Your business is unprofessional. You don't put your customers first. You have become complacent in your sloppyness and laziness. It's sad because you do have potential. It's there but sadly you refuse to better yourself. No you have not changed or whatever your girlfriends like to claim. Do you really want to run your business this way? I bet it's stressful! I can't fathom ever doing this to people! It would drive me nuts!

This is sad really. I take no joy in creating this journal. But something has to be said because this is becoming a big problem. I really think Blimp is cute, despite his issues. I really liked how personal you were with your customers(like when you did a livestream of mounting his head for me. That was neat. I'm not saying you should always do that). But things have slipped. My patience and trust has waned. And you seem to be disconnected from those that trust you their pelts. 

I will dismount the coyote and rehydrate and clean the hyena... So much for the wait. I was foolish to wait so long and to entrust her a grail of mine. 

And for those that are waiting on stuff from her, especially those that have been waiting too long. Be wary. And those that are getting decent stuff? Consider yourself lucky! Or for some perhaps you are just blind to what a decent mount actually looks like. 

Decided to do a review for once on a GW product. Well I'll have to say. This is probably one of the best wolves I have ever gotten from them. Just..GORGEOUS.. 

Description:
male arctic wolf
81 inches long
has all legs and feet. complete
$465 including shipping.
Very pale frosty overcoat with warm grey underfur. Has a goldish stripe down the back. 
VERY VERY VERY SOFT and lightweight fur. 

He is the softest wolf pelt I have right now. He even tops Cirrus! He's as soft as a fox. He's like butter on the hands. He's very light and has nice calming colors. I decided to name him Cloud because he reminds me of one. Very long fur. The worst damage I can say he has is a damaged ear that looks like a slipped skinning cut(right across his right ear) but nothing that was as significant as the platinum wolf I got from them earlier on in the year(who's ears were literally ribbons). All the skinning damages on Cloud were very professionally sewn up. Not a heavy pelt at all, very light and whispy. No tears on his face, has most of his lip and no tears through the eyes. Whomever skinned him did an excellent job as he is very soft with none of that rawhide stink, no signs of intact flesh, all nice white tanned skin. 
I just absolutely love him. He's a wolf pelt you can wrap around yourself and snuggle and not have to worry about having those guard hairs poke your eye. Very snuggly wolf.
